Conceal Carry Classes

Centerfire Shooting Sports Instructors are certified to teach Concealed Carry Classes for all residents of Kansas.

This Concealed Carry Classes are developed around the State of Kansas concealed firearms carry instructional requirements with input from various law enforcement offices. This course covers the Personal and Family Protection Act, federal, state, and local restrictions, and the laws concerning the use of deadly force, firearm maintenance and safe storage, equipment and ammunition selection, proper loading, unloading and shooting techniques, and concludes with a written examination.

The Concealed Carry Classes are based on teaching the laws in Kansas surrounding the justified use of a firearm, it will be assumed that each student is already proficient with using their firearm. Therefore, during the classroom portion, very little training will be offered in the basics of firing a pistol.

KANSAS CONCEALED CARRY COURSE QUALIFICATION:

• The fired proficiency portion of this course consists of 25 rounds. The course is fired at distances of 3, 7, and 10 yards.
• 3 Yards- 5 rounds, unsupported
• 7 Yards- 10 rounds, unsupported or supported
• 10 Yards- 10 rounds, supported
• The written exam will be 25-30 multiple choice questions covering the material covered in the Concealed Carry Course classroom regarding Kansas law and basic pistol safety.
• Centerfire Shooting Sports Instructors are certified to teach Concealed Carry Classes for all residents of Kansas.
