Centerfire Shooting Sports is the only Elite Dealer in Kansas and the Kansas City Metro Area. We have partnered with Silencer Shop to make purchasing a suppressor easier for our customers. The process of buying and owning an NFA item is now greatly simplified.
Buying an NFA item such as a suppressor, short barrel rifle (SBR), short barrel shotgun (SBS) is a simple process through the use of the Silencer Shop Secure Identity Documentation (S.I.D.) Kiosk and the Silencer Shop Mobile App.
We have streamlined the process to a more efficient and convenient practice. The entire process can be without any paper forms!
No Class Three License Required – If you live in a state where suppressor ownership is legal (and you may legally purchase a firearm), then you can buy a suppressor.
Follow the instructions below for the best suppressor purchasing experience in Kansas City.
Step 1. Purchase A NFA Item

We offer many different categories of suppressors with a wide array of different choices. You can purchase suppressors in store at Centerfire, or choose any suppressor online and choose Centerfire as your dealer.
RIMFIRE: A good pick for a first silencer is to choose a .22 suppressor. They are quiet as and very enjoyable. The .22 silencer is also a very economical entry in suppressors.
PISTOL: A great way to start shooting with silencers. These units provide reduced sound levels (often more than a good set of earmuffs), reduced coil, virtually eliminate blast, make faster follow-up shots possible, and can increase accuracy.
5.56MM and 7.62MM RIFLE: For rifle silencers, there are several effective options on the market. This category can be easily navigated if you ask yourself, “What are the most important characteristics that I’m looking for in a rifle silencer, such as length, weight, sound suppression, attachment method, and caliber?”
LARGE BORE: For higher caliber firearms (.338, .458, .50), the large bore class of suppressors brings several impressive, effective options to shooters.
SHOTGUN & SPECIALTY: This specialty grouping offers suppressors for integral units, dedicated submachine gun cans, and silencers specially designed for a specific host firearm.
Step 2. Get your Registration Code
Once you’ve selected your brand new suppressor, you’re ready to complete your purchase!
After purchasing, you’ll receive your serial number(s) and a registration code, keep the code handy for the all-important next step.
You will NOT be able to take possession of the suppressor until the NFA branch has approved the selected transfer.

Step 4. FOLLOW KIOSK INSTRUCTIONS
Silencer Shop Mobile offers a convenient means to register your NFA items.
This all in one process should only take you around 10 minutes to complete at the S.I.D. Kiosk.

Step 5. DOWNLOAD MOBILE APP AND TAKE PHOTO
When you have completed the registration process, download the Mobile app on your smartphone to snap the necessary photo. With the app, you can submit safe and secure photo that meets the ATF’s requirements.
Step 6. RECEIVE CONFIRMATION AND WAIT
After all your information is submitted, a confirmation email will be sent.
